Training and Education
After earning a bachelor’s degree, cardiovascular specialists (cardiologists) spend 4 years in medical school and complete 3 years of residency in internal medicine. After that, they also need to complete 3-4 years in a specialized cardiovascular fellowship. They may also sub-specialize within the field of cardiology.
