Lower Extremity Artery Duplex Ultrasound
Amelia Heart & Vascular Center is a respected leader in vascular medicine serving the Northern Virginia area.
A lower extremity artery duplex ultrasound uses sound waves to see the arteries in both legs. This test can be performed if one has leg pain, skin discoloration, lower extremity ulcers, or leg cramps. A trained sonographer will gently place an ultrasound probe on your legs and take images of various arteries for the physician to view.
