Biography:
Dr. Chaker attended medical school at Howard University College of Medicine and completed her Internal Medicine residency at West Virginia University School of Medicine/Ruby Memorial Hospital. She completed her Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship training at West Virginia University School of Medicine/West Virginia University Heart & Vascular Center. She had a comprehensive training and exposure to a full range of diverse clinical presentations and pathology of heart disorders treated by invasive and non-invasive techniques. Her commitment and passion to her work and patients were recognized early in her fellowship where she was awarded Outstanding Fellow of the Year and served as Chief Cardiology fellow. Moreover, she has contributed to numerous research projects leading to several publications in prestigious journals including; JACC Clinical Electrophysiology, JAHA, American Journal of Cardiology, Structural Heart, and Mayo Clinic Proceedings. She has presented at various cardiology conferences including ACC and TCT. She is eager to continue contributing to and helping shape the academic field of cardiology by leading the research program at the practice. Her patient philosophy is to treat each patient as though they are family.
