Upper Extremity Artery Duplex Ultrasound
Amelia Heart & Vascular Center is a respected leader in vascular medicine serving the Northern Virginia area.
An upper Extremity Artery Duplex Ultrasound uses sound waves in order to examine the arteries in both arms. This is a routine, noninvasive test that allows a physician to look for any narrowing or blockages in the arteries in arms. This test is performed by a trained sonographer, who will apply a probe to your arm and take images of your arteries for the physician to view.
